Things that you may want to know about the WC2010 (Part 2)

July 29, 2010

As promised in last post, I’ll get this up within 24 hours.

Move on to the tournament rules.

I just pick out those more interesting stuff:

Time limit for World Championship is 60min per match.

Day 1 and Day 2 have different rules when time is called.

Day 1

Day 2

During the shuffling, players can’t pre-arrange their deck. e.g. sorting monster, spell and trap separately. Also you can cut your deck after opponent has shuffled it, if you want to prevent him from stacking (if that helps). But you have to pass to opponent to have the final cut. Although it is supposed to be so, but not many follow it in other tournaments.

Regarding on “how to decide who starts first?”, I’ve posted about it earlier. Click HERE for direct link. Below is the rule for World Championship.

This is one interesting part for those have a fan base, “violations by the player’s supporters are considered to be done by the player as well”. You can act as the supporter of the player you hate, and abuse his opponent. Well played.
